SouthoftheNorth.com Going on Hiatus

Hi Everybody,
I've been thinking about SouthoftheNorth.com and what's next for about six weeks now. Basically the next step is I am putting updates on hiatus for a few months. When I started South of the North it was almost a joke. But, I had lots of fun writing and over time it grew into it's own voice however life happens. I've become busier over the past few months at work and at home. That couple with two new projects have left South of the North dwindling. That's not good.

So, for the next few months, South of the North is going on hiatus and then coming back in a different way. It will likely be a piece of something else and something I'm excited to have in planning. So thanks for checking in and please shoot me a note as always if you want to catch up. There's a module in the left rail that ill allow you to contact me. Also, please feel free to check me on Twitter from time to time as that gets updated on a regular basis.

- Jonny

This One is for Dan Watson

Not hating, just sharing. But, to kick off back into posting I figured I'd put this one up for Dan Watson from You Will Soon who is on the DL. Yeah, Watson is already on it but regardless this post is for Watson, his broken bones and the funny bra he has to wear for the next few months while on the mend.

Professional skateboarder Jereme Rogers said Wednesday he was sorry for disturbing his Redondo Beach neighbors this week when he "ate some `mushrooms' and bugged out," preaching naked on his rooftop.

Rogers, a high school dropout who attributes his skateboarding skills to God, was eventually grabbed by police officers and brought down from his precarious perch.

"It obviously was not an everyday experience," the 24-year-old athlete said. "It was a very out-of-body experience. I've never had an experience like that."

Rogers pulled off his boxer shorts about 6:40 a.m. Monday and climbed onto the roof of the two-story house he shares with roommates on Havemeyer Lane and Goodman Avenue.

"It was obviously something I shouldn't have done," Rogers said as he rolled a marijuana joint in his bedroom. "It was just something that happened."
