God love the interwebs. So while randomly surfing today I clicked over and saw this interview on CCS.com. Now, don't ask me what I was doing on CCS.com but it might have something to do with my growing love of the Nike SB Blazer. What caught my eye was the interview with former Blink 182'er Tom Delonge. The teaser promo was "Does Tom DeLonge still skate? The Angels and Airwaves front man tells all." OK, I actually wanted to know if this guy still skated. His photo looks kind of douchey but he always seemed approachable and funny.
After clicking through the Q&A revolves mostly around his band finally we get to the last question.
Do you still have time to skate? No, but I own a couple skateboard companies. We started one called Edmond. Edmond is a toy skateboard company, and we make these toys, like dinosaurs, that come with the clothes and with the products and you piece 'em together like Japanese toys. We also just signed Matt Hensley to Macbeth Footwear, which is my shoe company. And we're getting ready potentially to start another really big skate shoe company with the best riders in the world. But I can't talk about who they are specifically. I don't have time to do it, but I have time to be a part of the scene, that's for sure.
Wait, Matt Hensley is on Macbeth? OK, didn't see that coming. First Duffy and now Hensley. Apparently Macbeth is going after the coveted groundbreaking yet graying street skater category
Or they are trying to scoop up the classic Plan B line up? Who's next? Ryan Fabry?!
